About Atelier Kisai

Atelier Kisai represents Japanese artists living in Japan and across the diaspora.

We are proud to work with both established and emerging artists, supporting them to reach an international audience.

All of our artists focus on uniting traditional Japanese practices, techniques and aesthetics with contemporary culture.

Our diverse portfolio appeals to a broad range of viewers all of whom share an interest in bringing Japan’s multifaceted artistic heritage to the present.

Since our establishment in 2017, Atelier Kisai has exhibited at numerous group shows and art fairs both in Japan and internationally.

Our name ‘Kisai’, 貴彩 in Japanese, translates to mean ‘Precious Colours’. With a varied and exciting portfolio of artists we hope to immerse viewers in a contemporary Japanese aesthetic.
